What are they looking for?

Position: Safety and Health Officer (Executive)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive company-wide occupational health and safety program designed to prevent injury, occupational illness and damage to property.
• Formulate and implement safety programs that promote occupational safety and health protection Risk management and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to and investigate accidents, enquiries and service requests/complaints from businesses, members of the public and other relevant authorities.

What are the requirements?

• A minimum basic DIPLOMA / DEGREE (in any discipline).
• Must possess a Safety and Health Officer Certificate from NIOSH and must be registered (competent status) with DOSH.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and independently with minimum supervision and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing required.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience in the occupational safety and health field (preferred but not compulsary).
• Well versed with Occupational Health and Safety Act
